You're lucky if they last a year. I think the temp is too high for the material that they use for the filament.

Go for PIAAs this time.

He is talking about Sylvania SilverStar headlight or foglight bulbs.

they are talking about the blubs... sylvannia silverstars ( i just put in some for my cam, saving my old bulbs as back up)


i do like the difference in brightness definitely. just wondering how long they will last

...did the 9005 conversion to fit the 9006 head lamp

i have had silverstarts for a couple of months now with no problems. I got headlights and fogs for $40 bucks so i couldnt pass it up but i did hold on to my factory bulbs just in case.

I've been running silverstars in my 97 S10 for over a year now. Never a problem.

For those of you having problems, are you sure you didn't touch the glass portion of the bulb when installing them? If any of the oils from your hands get on the glass, it will greatly reduce the life of the bulb. (HINT: Use latex gloves when installing). This goes for any halogen bulb.

didnt get even close to the bulb putting them in, but the weather here has been strange warm and then very cold. i have seen alot of 1 eyes on the road this week.
