Saturday morning she was going to work and hit a patch of black ice. It's a '95 with 176,000 on it. Ten minutes after she spun out and hit the wall another car came over the hill and did the exact same thing.

where in the world did you find black ice in Nashville. IT has hardly been cold enough around here for any ice. You must be on the north side of Nashville to be getting black ice up there.

yea the most important thing is that your sister is ok and yea make sure you keep her away from your camry lol maybe she will get an 07 camry and then you will be the one wanting to drive hers instead of her wanting to drive yours

it is a ten year old car. The value of the car is probably only around$4000., If the damage is 75% then they are going to total it more than likely. Well it is normally 75% for most insurance companies. Could you get it fixed for less than that probably if you did some leg work and make some phone calls. The insurance company may even like you for it.

I was thinking the same thing since I am only about 20 miles south of Nashville. I can be where she had the accident in about 20 minutes probably. There is a lot of construction in that area and maybe it was left over water form some of the construction. Plus the road is blocked on one side a by a pretty good sized hill and on a ramp/overpass area. So maybe it had something to do wth that. Lots of shade inthe area and some water/icicles on the hillside where they cut it out sometimes. I guess anything is possible as the accident has proven.

Wow that is pretty scary. Given my limited rain driving in addition to never driving on ice I would be screwed majorly. But I will never incounter that if I stay in SOCAL.
