Howdy all,I'm thinking of swapping the stock guages for some white ones.I would like to get a little advice on how to do it myself if possible.I'm not the most mechanically gifted person around but with good instructions and advice I could pull it off, thanks for any help,Pete.

ok

It is really easy.... All there is to it .. is as knightfall said.. they are inserts. You pull out the guage cluster, and pull off the plastic. then use the tool u recieve with the white guages. pretty much like a stick on thing. Some also come with the different lights that u can insert into the back of the cluster. But the one company I can think of is .... well, here is their website.

I believe the plastic that surrounds it either unscrews, or unsnapps... I can't remember offhand, however, worse case, u can pull out all the way from the stereo to the cluster, without any problem... it is as easy as a walk in the park, just take a really good look at it. After u get the plastic off, there will be 4 screws that hold the cluster in place.

it snaps out and screws out... bottom screws out and top snaps...

but in order to get the cluster out you need to disconnect the speedo cable from behind...

my hands are too big to do this w/o a problem... i tear my hand up everytime...

hmm, I was unaware of the speedo cable, I have taken out the cluster in my wifes 4-runner, and there was no need to take out the speedo. But I gess all cars are different. So I will be doing this upgrade as well.... the only depressing opart is that I am still running on the non- turbo cluster. I was thinking about the change, but that would throw off my speedo, and I would never kow how fast I am going....At least I can still know where to shift when I get a bigger turbo, redline sits at 7,000 rpm
