I have a prob like this but i don't think it's my CV joints. It's like some kind of screeching and it sounds like it comes from in the engine bay. could this be caused by a belt or something?

so what's the problem witht he power steering pump or rack? and what would need to be done? I'm sure it won't be that expensive since I live in Belize. Mechanical work here isn't that expensive unless it's the part that is expensive.

hang on, first make sure you have enough fluid, it should be about 3/4 of the way full with the car off or it will start making awful noises when the fluid gets too low

edit: at least thats how my 92 v6 is

my power steering fluid is fine it's right where it should be. so i guess that theory is ruled out.

Madmax when do you hear this noise? Is it when you are turning and you hear a clicking noise or do you hear it when you are sitting still and turning the wheel?
