Hey guys,

Not sure if you have complaints about the cabin noise but to me, it's unbearable. I had a 2008 TCH and it was much quiter thant he 2018 version. Here's what I decided to do:

QuietCoat - 3 layers
STP Mat

Will report the difference once it's done (expected this Saturday)

What was The biggest thing you noticed? I wanted to do sound deadening because highway driving sucks lol
Less noise from behind. Insulating the hood quieted the engine a bit. Doors probably made the biggest difference because of less noise from passing traffic.

I still have some tire noise. I think that’s due to the large 18” wheels and hard low rolling resistance tires. So tires are on the agenda.

My biggest complaint is when driving on wet streets. Since the vehicle is so low and it has hollow cladding on the door sills water makes a huge amount of noise. Unfortunately it rains a lot where I live. At least the sound deadening helped some. Now I the sound comes from lower down like the sill cladding.

finally got my car back. Everything felt solid, from the roof to the doors to the trunk. One drawback was the trunk lid doesn't open completely with the QuietCoat on but can still be lifted up with minimal effort. Closing it makes a loud thumping sound.

In terms of local driving, it's noticeably quieter but not to the point where I would spend that much money on. Highway driving made the most difference because of the reduced road noise.

When cars beside me pass by, I can still hear them but it's very subtle. The same goes for standing outside your car when the audio is on. You can hear it but it's not as loud as before.

Overall, I was happy with the results but it's not as quiet as a high-end car would sound given the lound electrical noises from a hybrid and the wind noise coming from the windows.
