Worn plugs won't harm the starter.

They will affect performance and fuel mileage.

I use a piece of rubber hose to remove/install the plugs after breaking them loose. And not to tighten them, just to start them.

Can the NGK 4912 for the '10 LE? I believe these equivalent to stock Denso ones? Paul's Travel picture site also seems to recommend them.. Anyone used these?
If that's what it shows is the NGK equivalent you should be fine.

All Toys used to come new with Denso, but I think some legal thing led to some having NGK. Never saw any problems with them, but have replaced many new Bosch, Champions & Autolites with Denso to fix poor idle. Toys just like Densos!

That they do! I've had decent luck with NGK too but if I can find Denso plugs I'll get them. My older Toyotas seem to have better luck with NGK plugs.
