hi, i want too replace all speakers for more powerful bigger ones, my questions are:

what is the maximum size for front speakers, without mods to the plastic brackets.?????

what is the max speaker count in the rear?? i`m planning on getting some 6x9`s between the standard speaker mounts in front of the third stop lamp, using all 4, can it be done?

which ones are the best and why, now i have pioneer bicone ??? in the rear and METRIK triple driver on the front, sounds good but i want more, is a pioneer 1850 head unit.

if u ask: MP3`s are transmitted via FM trough a Music Master Flash drive, ipod, multi card reader. ;)

what???
There is a pair in front and a pair in the rear behind the seat. I don't think you can add any to the rear doors. You probably could put more behind rear seat but why? Just get two good quality rears, a sub, maybe some tweaters for the dash and some 4" (I know it sucks) for the front. The key is a good amp that has strong power with speakers that can handle the load. If you have money get a component system. MB Quart has a 4" setup that isn't cheap.

fm is a terrible way to transmit digital music. You can get kenwood, pioneer, clarion with usb input or ipod input for mp3.
I have the same issue with speakers. I bought a kenwood KDC-MP342U yesterday and I noticed that the front passenger side speaker is starting to go out. Can I replace that with any 4" speaker (I'd change both up front actually) Thanks for any advice. I agree with the FM comment that's why I got one with a USB port which I use for my music.. I'm finally gettting dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century lol..
I think any 4" car speaker will work. The problem will be if you have any sort of amp added. Then you must have a rated speaker. Sony sells some cheap xplode speakers that are very popular and will only set you back about $30. I normally never advise Sony for any sound system but these are great for a really cheap upgrade. Also if you beef up the wattage, the little speaker wires will need to be replaced as well.
I found a pair of those Sony speakes on Ebay for $39.00 including shipping and bought them. Will I have to solder these in or just take the old speakers out of that plastic housing and attach these? I don't have any amp to contend with and I doubt if I'll ever install one either. I mainly listen to audio books and easy listening stuff. Thanks for the input buddy..
It's been a while. I think the plastic support piece unbolts and unplugs from the frame and wiring. Then you can unscrew the speaker on a bench and you might have to strip and crimp the new one onto the support. Hopefully you will get the ends included with the speakers if you have to strip and crimp.
well my FM MP3 transmitter works great, good quality, reads all media types from all storage devices, and no interference, same as CD quality, stereo sound, IR remote.

no need to spend a lot on a new head unit....
If you can't tell the difference between CD quality and FM, then just buy speakers that are loud. Get an amp and just run more powerful speakers. Place 6.5 inch speakers in the back if you are going to cut out the panel. Any oval shaped speaker will distort more than a circle.
i can tell when it`s CD quality -16 bits and 44.1 kilohertz per second Stereo- and standard FM -32.5 Khz 16 bit Stereo-.

i`m kinda audiophile, and i want to expand my hi def audio to my car, not crazy like high volume, but quality and crispness.
so u guys mean to say we can have bigger then normal size speakers in the back
because a guy from bestbuy told us tht my car cant have bigger speaker than standard in back
Yes, we can
i have a sony xplode mp3 player
n i need some good speakers for front side
which one wud work well
start your research at crutchfield, they have a pretty good selection :)
first you must get a new keyboard ,you are missing some letters...

LoL!!!

good idea, but I would never ever buy from them. They are a total ripoff.
has anyone tried some pioneer models for front door speakers?

mine has pioneer in the rear standard size, sounds good, maybe MAYBE 4"s are the same in quality:price ratio

are non-coaxial speakers better????

speaker in passenger doors............. mmmmmmm NINJA SKILL needed to pull something like that LoL!!
What size are the standard speakers in the back? I've purchased replacement speakers for the front and now I'm thinking of doing the same in back.

Thanks in advance.

Who said anything about buying from them?

I just think that they're website is pretty useful and easy for comparing specs
if you ever try a good set of Full Range Whizzer cones you will never want another set of coaxials again. or tweeters.:welcome:
