No longer a camry owner. But still part of the Yota family. Had to go all the way to the desert toyota to get this 07 Sport Solara. It was the only one that existed close enough and can say it was the first to touch grounds in California! i just love the scent of a new car.

Old ride.

New ride.

Thanks buddy. I mean its a huge transformation switching to a different car. Sedan to Coupe. The length seems about the same tho.

haha. Personally I wouldn't care what color it was. Black would of been cool, but I just love that pearl white. There's just something about it.

Thanks. I actually put those black chrome dubers right beside it. And let me tell you, they set it off nice. But there would be a possible fender gap. And i just hate fender gaps. So im waiting for aftermarket springs or coilovers to come out. Im trying to sell those wheels, but if i cant, in the future ill put them on the car.
both cars look great man, nice work!
did u sell your gen 5 back? just curious as to your mods on your old car and if u kept any parts?

good guess haha. The wheel looks way different in person. But i guess what gives the black chrome wheel off in the picture, is the regular chrome center cap.
those rims are hot! do u have a drop on that?

yeah i installed Eibach pro kit lowering springs one day in the shop. The spec's for the v6 were 2.0 in the front and 1.2 in the rear.

I like that I had no fender gap in the rear, but in the front i still had about a finger & 1/2 gap. I really wanted to fix the front, it bugged me everyday, but i really didn't want to cut my springs. The other alternative would of been going with coilovers, but there are no reliable brands available. So i gave up.

I think they made 2.0 in the front the most because when I had my stock 16" rims I would sometimes bottom out, depending on how severe the speed bump was. But since I had a larger rim, i was initially sitting alittle higher with lowering springs, without bottoming out on the chassis witch made it awesome, because i could of gone even lower in the front to get rid of the fender gap.
there are aftermarket springs and coilovers from your solara. If looks at pics of Posh's solara you can see how it looks with coilovers, and if you find old pics of her car I think she had TRD Springs and 20's, and the fender gap wasnt to bad at all.

Any parts that fit the Gen2 Solara (04-06) will fit the 2.5 (07) except for a lower front grill.... so (as Fresco Bob pointed out) you can get lowering springs or COs for your car now... no waiting necessary... :) BTW... nice car/color choice... did you get the v6?

Beat me to it! :D

Yes I had my 20s (by 8.5) on with my TRD springs (pics on cardomain page all the way at the bottom)

And now I have Coilovers w/ my 19s... (pics also on CD page...)

OMG you just made my day. I like your upper and lower grill. If they were compatible I would of powder coated them black. Because on the camry, the paint ever so slightly started to peal on the side of the billet grill, which annoyed me. Big Question!! How can i get my hands on a grill like your new one. I cant even explain how sweet it is.!

And yes I did get the 6banger. I thought it would be a better selling point later on down the road.

I havn't searched yet for coilovers, but are there any reputable brands available that you would recommend to me?

Well good for you on your new purchase,

As far as the Coilovers for your car go, there are only 2 brands out there for you, TEIN and JIC (both are exceptional products).

Her grill was a prototype grill and there is only one, you guessed it... hers. LOL

Good luck and let the modding begin.

Thanks alot for the information. Ill be looking into Tein and JIC to see what they both have to offer. If you ever plan on making replicas, just hit me up, ill be the first on the list. Your other grill was more noticeable, but I like the prototype version instead. It gives the car a more cleaner look.
Damn your Gen 5 is sick:eek:

I always wanted to get a Gen 5 with the 3MZ:sosad:
