Hello everybody! I just purchased a CPO 2017 Camry SE. Upon further inspecting (of course after I’ve already driven it off the lot), it looks like the previous owner went too far over a curb at one point and as a result scraped under the front bumper (is this a protective layer?). So, my first question is, will my car still last now that I’ve discovered the scraped bottom under the bumper (which also has a slight dent in it)? My second question is, what clips/screws do you need to fasten the left side of the sport grille to the bumper? It appears that whenever this last owner slid too far over the curb, they pulled out the left side of the grille’s fasteners. The right side is still completely fastened. I called Toyota and they said the fastener issue is not likely to be covered under the 12 month bumper-to-bumper warranty that comes with CPO vehicles. However, he said they could order the parts for me after I brought it in and they evaluated it. The problem is, my Toyota dealer is fairly far from my location. So, I don’t want to have to go back twice. I’d rather show up at my scheduled appointment with everything they need! Any advice is appreciated!

Having a hard time telling what question you're asking and what damage you're describing. A picture tells 1,000 words. I've taken off the bumper and both front grills more than once on this car. There is an upper grill (chrome, Toyota logo attached to this piece) and a lower honeycomb grill, which I think is the one you're talking about. If the bumper is removed, the grill basically pops in and out once a few screws are removed. You won't be able to do do this with the bumper attached.

Having said all that, this car's bumper is ridiculously close to the ground. I've had mine repainted once in the 2 years I've owned it and continue to scrape it almost weekly, even with very little mileage and very careful driving. I have to park halfway out spaces if they have parking blocks or curbs to avoid scraping. Congrads on owning the lowest car on the planet.
