Would changing my ball joint, swaybar bushing and end links make my steering feel tighter?
I changed my struts with kyb and it did feel a bit tighter.
Would like to have a "like new" steering feel on my 02 camry.

Finally change the stabilizer end links and lower ball joint. In addition to the kybs struts I installed last year the steering definitely feels more stiffer and handles well.
I did not get to change the sway bar bushing, because it would require to drop the sub frame.

Was this a 6 piece kit that you ended up getting?

This is a future project of mine as well. Not sure if it will require 6 piece or 10 piece kit.

I have 2016 Corolla and the steering feels far more superior to my 2006 Camry. Would really like to tighten up the steering to closely resemble my Corolla. It just feels more secure on the highway (70mph+)

I didnt use any kit, I bought all the parts(moog) on rockauto, it was the cheapest. The steering definitely feels more secure and tightens up at highway speeds.

Interesting thread. Steering feel has been one of the areas where I've found the XV30 Camry responds best to a few mild mods. Any other opinions on the effect of new tie rod parts on subjective drive quality? Or whether the Moog or Proforged parts have any advantages over OEM?

I'm going to have my Camry in the shop for some work next week anyway, and given it already has 150k miles on it, it might be worth shelling out a little extra for tie rods while it's in there if there's an appreciable benefit.

This is the same situation I’m in.

First day driving the Camry, I felt like the steering was too sensitive especially on the highway. I actually had to grasp the steering wheel with both hands. That’s how crazy loose/sensitive the steering is vs my Corolla.

Corolla? Even at 90-100mph I can confidently manage my steering with my knee. Not that I do this often nor with traffic but I have done this a few times nonetheless.

I’m curious to know if I plan to keep the car for another 5 years should I go OEM or just aftermarket.

And what is OEM brand? Can’t find anything online but random aftermarket brands, one of which is Moog.

Moog can be hit and miss. For the Gen4/3, the tie rod ends for Beck Arnley ended up being reboxed Sankei '555', probably one of the best brands to get and made in japan. A Moog sway bar bushing for the front ended up being reboxed OEM bushings....had Toyota part number on them still....also made in Japan. I recall getting Moog front sway bar bushing for my 2004, they were some random bushing 'made in mexico' seems to be okay though.

Note though, you can do the sway bar bushings with the subframe in place for the Gen5 Camry, but it is an absolutely frustrating matter.
