I just bought a new audio set up for my truck but I was wondering what some of the wires on the stock stereo were for. I havnt gotten into it yet so Im not completely sure but I know that there are two plugs that go into the back of the stereo and I know one of them is for the power for the stereo and the speakers, right? but what is the other plug for. I plan on pulling everything apart today amd start on the instalation but I just was wondering. Is the other plug for the tweeters and if it is how will I plug those in with the new stereo that only has one plug.

Go buy an adaptor harness.

Don't mess around with cutting/splicing the wires, the harness is well worth it.....

yea I went and bough a harness for $15 and it was well worth it. I just had to plug it in to the stock and conetct the harness wires to the new stereo wires(which was pretty easy considering they were labled) and it worked great and sounds even better
