So for christmas i got an alpine amp eclipse headunit and 2 kicker 6.5s. i mounted the amp and speakers today. i pulled out the radio and looked at it and theres connections all over the place! the idiot that put in the tape player cut and spliced some new wire harness that doesnt even come close to matching the adapter i got from wal-mart. now i get to hard wire my headunit to my car or go to the scrap yard and cut some other harness out of another tercel...why are are people so ignorant the cant spend $9.99 to make theirs and future owners life easier?

does suck...well, be happy that your car came with a radio. My 75 celica didn't come with a radio, no radio wires, no speaker wires, NOTHING. From my 91 celica I took out the speakers and the deck, and I had to get NEW wires and make the deck turn on and off, speaker wires running to the deck and mount it somewhere. It's not that hard... its just a stereo system, it's not like it screwed you over w/ an engine swap or anything right

actually, since your wires were already a mess, that would have been a good opportunity to start over with the stereo wiring...if you havent already fixed the problem it might not be a terrible idea to rewire everything involved w/ the stereo, because new wires would be nice...
