I have been following this thread on a Corvette forum that I'm a part of: www.corvetteactioncenter.com

Stewart Automotive group in Colma, California (near San Francisco) dropped this guy's C5 Vette' off the lift and they're trying to play it off like it's minor damage.

That is some major bullshit. It is hard to imagine something stupider than dropping a car off a lift. Anything less than a replacement of GREATER value (for lost time, etc) is unacceptable in my opinion.

Shit, in the third to lsat pic, there looks like a crack in the frame.

I for one would not take the car, I would ask for a car that is equal or greater to the value of my car. C'mon it was a 97 with only 40K miles....

I would also get remburistment for travel expenses for each day I was without my car.

They even SAWED OFF his lugnuts when they couldnt find the locking key.........which was in the correct place

The fact that the dealer want to fix it is bs, just from the pictures it looks like thousands of dollars, and even then it would still be a pile. He should get a brand spankin new vette for free and be able to keep his C5 if he wants to.
