stock steel wheels w/bigger tires?

Yes, I've searched.....

Does anyone have pics of their truck with the stock SR5 steel wheels with bigger tires? I'm thinking that the wheels would look a lot better with some white letter bigger tires on them.

the taller the tire you put on there, the more you're going to notice how narrow your wheels are. my spare is a stock steelie with a 285 and when i put it on, it looked pretty funny in my opinion. depends on how big of a tire you put on it though.
I'm not looking to lift the truck, maybe just put on tires equivalent to the size of the TRD offroad model.

Assuming you've got the 245/75's right now, you do know that your new tires will only be about 20mm wider and not any taller than what you've got now right?

Jaime, that would be incorrect. The difference in height between stock 245/75 and 265/75 is almost 1.5". Since the second number is a ration rather than a measurement, the same ratio, but a larger first number would result in an overall taller diameter, but thanks for playing. vtsteve, you obviously didn't search very hard. If you looked in either the "lets see those regular cabs" thread, the "black truck" thread, the "show your truck" STICKY, or my "own evolution of frankie" thread you would see pictures of my truck with larger tires on a stock steel rim. But, because I am a nice guy, these are pics of my truck with 265/75/16 Bridgestone Deuler A/Ts, white letter in, because WLO is for hotrods IMO. These are before the truck was listed.

Haha and the tires on the TRD offroad would be 265/70's...your mistake indeed

+1
menacekustoms, nice truck.....
sorry about my search not being detailed enough......used the advanced search feature and didn't find a thread titled anything close to "stock steel wheels" with the pictures i'm after.....it can't hurt to have a thread specifically devoted to this subject
^I'll be doing exactly the same as menace, Steve, 265/75/16. As you can see, they pretty good, even on the stock steelies.
