Hey all. I searched 5 pages of posts and didn't find an answer to my problem.
I have a 2006 Camry SE and the key fob isn't working when I press the buttons. I have to press it a couple times to get the doors to lock or unlock (trying to open the trunk is :headbang: ). Before it took only one little press to work properly. Thought it was the battery in the fob going, so I replaced it. No luck. Is there something in the car itself that picks up the button press from the fob that could be going bad?

Did you try cleaning the button contacts? You can clean them by rubbing lightly with a pencil eraser.

Tried that. No luck.

Anyone else have any ideas? Tried both mine and the wife's fob and it's the same with both. Takes several presses with either to get the car to respond.
