Wondering if anyone has experienced a sort of swishing sound when putting your foot into it on take off. I usually notice this sound when the engine is fairly cold and has been sitting but its like a swishing or whooshing sound when i take off with a heavy foot. Any input would be great. I have an 06 DC prerunner.

Dont give it much gas when its cold I wouldnt go over 2300 or so RPM even that is pushing it. That sound is normal its a really airy engine when its cold, like how its really windy on start up.

Hmm its not a windy sound, it almost sounds like a metal disc spinning against metal real fast. Its hard to explain. It only does it for a few seconds then stops.

It's your ABS system! All of our trucks do it! It's been covered extensively here. Don't worry about it!!
It does it in the morning I reverse my truck out of the driveway and put it into drive and just when I start moving the truck make a sloshing sound.

Thats strange, this is the first vehicle with abs that ive owned that makes that sound. Thanks for the ideas.
