this just started today in the low rpms my truck is stuttering when the rpm climbs it levels out and everything seems normal. could this be a dirty fuel filter? if so where is it located?
Sounds like a fuel delivery problem.
What year and how many miles do you have? Im at 124K on original fuel filter.. i'll get it done eventually but its gonna cost me.
ok then if you wanna try it the filter is a little round think under the intake manifold. has 2 banjo fittings going to it and the new one will come with new copper washers. dont reuse the old ones. the tough part is reaching under to undo the clamp that holds it to the manifold.
before you do that go ahead and check you fuel presure for fun.
also if at 150k you haven't had your injectors cleaned, that would be another avenue. i don't mean one of those snake oil, drop it in the tank additive, i mean take it somewhere and have a fuel injector flush done to it.
I just changed the fuel filter in my 2.7 because it felt like it always wanted to idle 200 rpm's lower than it should. New filter installed and it runs smooth as silk.
