Sub-divided Avalon Forum Needed?

2201 Views 27 Replies 14 Participants Last post by  escop
How many of you would like to see our forum sub-divided like the Camry forum is now. I certainly do not like having to drill into new threads to see if the subject is relevant to a 2007 model or a 2000 with 157,000 miles. I have asked the master and I think he would like to know if this is a benefit to us flagship owners.

It would not be that hard to do would it?:naughty:

This is exactly what we need because as far as im concerned when im looking at a forum, I want to see threads only about my car which is a 3rd Generation. The best way would be to do it by Generations. Real Enthusiasts should know what generation their car belongs to.
I agree. I'm a new member on here & my vision is blurry from trying to scan through all these post. Please make that happen...
I agree. Why don't you start a poll.
I would like to see this happen as well, but I think why it is probably like this is because there is not as much "traffic" as there is in the camry forum.
Great suggestion...

...I'm still holding my breath on getting the out of date sticky threads "Unstuck"...
I agree. Divide the forums. That will make it much easier for everyone
Agree!

I totally agree that we should split the old and new Avalon into two forums.
Avalon 2008

Totally agree! It would be great idea to split forums so as a owner of 2008 I don't have to search trhough all the posts
OK-- this might be a smaller market, but I come from an Audi A8 to an Avalon (personal car to company car that i got to choose) and I have spent a lot of time on www.audiworld.com where even A8 models for which only 2000 cars per year were built was subdivided into D2 and D3 models (1994-2003, 2004+) and there were lots of people on that forum trying to figure out the how and what of keeping their cars running right and improving them. I believe there will be more traffic if people find their forum relevant to what they drive. I seriously do not care what someone paid for a 10 year old Avalon in answer to how much I paid for a new one (example).

We can only ask and hope our moderators take us seriously and relent.
I agree with all of the previous posts. The only question I might have— Is there a need for a "general" category, one that would apply to all Avalons, not just year/generation specific?
I have asked the master

Dude, I never received a PM from you :lol:

Seriously, it seems pretty clear you guys want this forum split up, I can do that really easily. Just list the years/generations the Avalon was made.

Thank you

I agree, the stickys are lame here. This is almost a forgotten sub-forum, Ren is the Moderator here, but he has his plate full in the Corolla section and he has a baby...I know I have one also.

All suggestions are welcome. My PM box is always open as well.

Thank you.
Is this correct:

First generation 1995-1999
Second gen 2000-2004
Third gen 2005+

GREAT! Thanks. Oh that the politicians would listen to the public as well as TN Administrators.
What are GEN breaks by year for Avalon

Expert needed: What are Gen 1, 2, 3 model year breaks for the Avalon?
Gen 1 1995, Gen 2 2000, Gen 3 2005
I just split it up. Please have patience during this process, it could take a few days, myself and the Mods need to move some threads out of the Archive section to where they belong.

Thank you, suggestions are always helpful!

This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
