They don't look bad but you'd lose access to the storage underneath your seats and it would be a pain in the ass to get to the jack.... not to mention they only fit 8 or 10 inch subs. I just have a small generic box for my sub on the floor behind the driver's seat and like it pretty well... the amp is hidden away under the driver's seat so if i need two people to ride in the back or something i can just unplug the box real quick and throw it in the bed of the truck.

It looked to me like you would still be able to use the under-seat storage with the smaller box. I'm in the process of building my own (going to buy the sub with my refund :D) that is similar in idea. If I'm not satisfied with mine down the road, I might go with one of these. They definately look less conspicous in the cab, and I only want an eight inch sub anyway (I'm after quality low frequencies, not the "bump")

I've had the supercrewsound for two years. It will hold an 8inch sub- I have a Kicker sub that works out well for my taste. It's easy to slide the box over to get at the jacks, etc. I've been very satisfied with this setup.

I like the look of these, but have to wonder how the fiber glass is going to do under the stress of a sub woofer and the air movement a sub causes.
it will hold up to the pressure just fine. they are very thick. and very high quality and great fit

I had a set, mounted the subs, and picked them up. very heavy. So, I was thinking, this bolts to the door panel. the panel still clips to the door. so the clips are holding the weight......

it is recommended to screw them to the doors as well. I think they are perfect for smaller, lighter subs, but for the heavy subs (diamonds, JL, Orion, etc) i had concerns

I didnt like this idea so I built the box pictured above

I actually like the looks of the box above (the one that fits behind the center console.) It doesn't look like it's designed to produce much thump, but fill in the low end which is left out from the rest of the set up.

I do have some questions about that box though. What's the maximum size woofer you can get in it? 2 8 inchers? One 10 inch? Also how much does it cost?

it is a single 10 downfiring with .75 sealed airspace

Mounting depth is roughly 7" but can be deeper depending on magnet diameter.

the common questions...

Yes a W6 fits

Yes a D6 fits

No a L7 doesnt :)

I have heard the X panels with 2 10s, and my setup as equal if not more bass with one. I have yet to hear a w6 in it, but from what I have been told, its hits pretty hard. Plus its downfiring, so its really clean.

As crunchy asked, are you still building them? I want something, but I don't want a standard box kicking around on the floorboard. I've got a slew of other questions, but they are kind of mute if you aren't building them any more. ;)
