Hello.

I know there have been many posts about sunroofs being stuck OPEN, however mine is stuck closed. Activating it causes the motor to make a clunking noise as if two cogs were stuck and skipping. That sort of noise. Water is pooling under the headliner so apparently the tubes are disconnected or clogged. I don't use the sunroof but have to get it open now to inspect the tubes. I suppose removal of the headliner would allow me access to view the internals of whatever is causing the grinding noise and to access the tubes? I am curious if any one has had this stuck/grinding issue before and has any advice.

Best regards.

You may be able to apply force to help it open...Con...it may not close, plan accordingly. YouTube Toyota Camry sunroof leaks, you'll be surprised at what you see.

Cheers from Canada, stay safe!

Usually when it grinds it is the sign of a bad motor in the sunroof so it can’t open because the motor doesn’t have enough to work it
