Hey guys, currently driving a 03 Highlander on 225/70/16 on stock steel rims. Its about time for me to get new tires and I'm thinking of getting 235, just a little wider, on the stock rims. The stock rims are 6" or 6.5" wide, I'm not too sure.

The final question is, should I do it? Is the little extra width of tread worth it?

Modern vehicles are pretty sensitive to tire size when it comes to fuel economy. Any added width or added weight can have an adverse effect. As long as you don't go with a much heavier or much wider tire you should be OK.
