Well it's about time :D
And covered up to 36 months or 36,000 miles (I'm at about 30/30k).
Time to call the dealer.

I took mine into the dealer today, specifically for this TSB.

Toyota is telling them they must be able to reproduce the problem, despite the fact that this has finally become a known (to Toyota) problem. They have never been able to reproduce it, so the chance of them succeeding after keeping it overnight is miniscule. The dealer has logged my several reports of this, but that's not good enough.

I was willing to live with this (it's infrequent), but now I know they have a fix and are not willing to apply it, I'm highly annoyed.

That is annoying. How much does it cost to flash a computer. There's not even any parts involved. Considering all the recalls Toyota has stood behind in the past, it just seems so un-Toyota.

So they finally acknowledge the problem now? how many people are past the 36 month/36k miles warranty? I was past that in my first year of ownership. My 2018 Hybrid LE is currently at ~124k miles.

So I guess if i want this update I need to pay?
