first time yota enthusiast....owned a 6th as my first car.

so i've been running honda's forever.

ok so i've picked up a 88 rolla wagon, and love it to death.

first off, radio issues.
ok so when i got the rolla the radio didnt work. apparently before the kid i got it off got ahold of it, the radio did work, even tho he had some extra audio wired in. then....dumb ricer kid put an "amp and subs" in it and the radio quit working.

i've tried a billion times with multiple headunits as well as direct power and ground from the battery. no bueno...any ideas?

tach issues:

today i picked up a cluster from a 92 corolla with a tach in it. i made sure it all wired up the same and sure as could be, it plugged in fine and worked right dimmer-wise. i had to pop the cable out for the speedo, but that works fine. my only issues are with the tach. it wont work. everything plugged in right.
granted my wagon has the 4af and is carbed so i have no clue what it could be, since i've NEVER delved deep into carb setups.

any help?

yes....i'm smart enough to fix it but i dont want to start shooting at a target in the dark. last resort is switching out the harness. all the fuses are right.

so the tach still isn't working, is there a wire not used in tachless corollas that i need to get?

also the coolant temp gauge is reading at it's highest, what should i do to work that out to read correctly?

finally i say again i've checked all my fuses.
