It was recently brought to my attention that my rpms are reading very low. It doesn't go any higher then 2000 rpms even when it should be at like 5 or 6 it still isn't going more then 2. It's still reading something so the Gage itself cant be broke. What exactly do y'all think it could be so I can start to getting it fixed

Bad ground, bad wire and the Tach itself are the usual culprits.

Yeah, could be bad capacitors in the tach. About $0.10 to replace them. Here's some related threads:
