Ok,
During the last snowstorm here in MA I backed (slid) into the corner of my mailbox and punched a small hole about the size of a BB into the backup light section of the tail light lens of my 2001 dbl cab. It also cracked the lens somewhat. No other damage was done and the mailbox faired much better than the lens.
I don't really want to spend $75 and up for a new lens assembly and I'm not too worried about how it looks at the moment.
I'm just wondering if any of you has had a problem like this and would appreciate any idea's as to how to fill in the hole with something clear that would not let moisture into the assembly.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

lens fix

Here's a way I've done it

If the hole is small enough get some of that transparent color tape from the auto parts store take out the lens and cover the hole from the inside. Get some clear epoxy and pour the expoxy into the hole from the outside. Make sure it's lying flat and let it cure. Doesn't always look the best but you can lightly sand it and if you do it right it will keep moisture out.
