On my old 05 Taco and my 07 Taco I've gotten a hazy film on my paint around the exhaust tip. I was able to clean it off with a citrus cleaner from the dealer, but I am wondering if I could just cut off the pipe after the last hanger so the fumes will make less contact with the paint. I have undercoating, but will the moisture from the gases cause corrosion? Thanks.

Then the exhuast would sit under the truck & possibly seep into the cab if you leave it idle for several minutes. I would extend the pipe or reroute it straight out the back( might have to get around spare tire).

I have a turn down about 4" in front of my axle and no problems yet. I've even let it idle for ~30 min at a time. The only problem is that I get a real loud sound of the exhaust rushing out of the pipe at WOT. It's kind of annoying, but I'm slowly getting used to it.

Mine is cut off right after it passes over the axle. This ensures that I won;t get as many fumes as having it cut off earlier, and it also keeps the noise down a bit. But damn does it sound good at WFO. never thought a yota V6 would sound this good.
