I have an 2008 TCH with 400 miles on it. There are many very steep hills in my neighborhood, and my car always smells like a burnt vacuum belt after climbing them.

anyone else notice this? I think it is from the CVT, and it worries me about it's reliability/longevity....

My Prius has a burning smell after I climb a mountain but if I do it repeatedly (say a few times a week), it seems to go away. It's only if I haven't climbed in a while then it comes back.

Methinks something needs to be burned off once in a while lol.
