TE72 4 or 5 spd?

Thank you all who replied to my post about my tranny. I've found one with a spare engine anf the guy is practically giving it away. My only question is, are the 4 and 5 speed transmissions interchangeable? The engine is from an '82 3tc 1.8L, same as my car with matching 4 spd tranny. Mine, however, is the 5 spd....
