Temperature gauge 2009 RAV4

What do your temperature gauges show?

My 2009 RAV4 has about 800 miles. The temperature gauge indicator quickly moves to the halfway position. Is this normal or does it mean the engine is running a little hotter than it should? The temperature gauge on my previous Toyatas always moved to about the quarter position, unless they were driven hard on a hot day.

My '09 Base I4, with a little over 1300 miles on the clock, sits between 1/4 and 1/2 on the temp gauge.

my 08 base I4 with 6k on it sits between 1/4 and 1/2 as well.

My I4 2006 Base with 30k on the odo is the same.
