Tercel 93 Bad Cylinders

Recently I sold my tercel to a friend, but it failed emmisions when he tried getting it registered. After taking to a mecanic he was told the 3rd cylinder was shot. The guy wanted 1,200 to get it fixed and I said I would pay for it. However I wanted to take it to my mechanic and see what else we could do. He wanted 850 min for it. My dad has a 92 Tercel and a 95 Tercel that have been wrecked, but the engines haven't been damaged at all. I was curious if its possible to swap either one of those engines with the 93 because it would be alot cheaper. If not do I have any other optioins?

Thanks in advance.

Of coruse you can swap! but why settle for the 3E-E when you can get a better engine entirely! Back Yard Productions can help you out. If you need mroe info you can call them or pm me for specifics.

P.S. You can get a better deal on an engine with them!
steal you dad's 95' tercel 5e-fe, harness, computer, everything. it's much cheaper to replace an engine, than to get one rebuilt, and much better of an investment to drop the 5efe in! -ANDY-
