Hi ToyotaNation! We picked up a 1st Gen 1996 Rav4 a few months ago as a birthday present/improvement for my Domestic Partner while taking her daughter car shopping. It's been well used, and looked like it had maybe been parked for awhile. When my Lady sat in it, she said it just "felt good" to her and wanted to know if we could work out a deal to trade her slightly newer Forester for it. The Forester was beginning to have issues due to age and miles, and we either had to spend money keeping it up, or replace it. We decided we didn't want a newer, bigger SUV either, as we could be towing it behind our RV at times. It's a 5 door, no power windows or door locks, 5 speed manual (which we like), Cruise control, AC, sunroof and roof racks. Everything works, and clutch and brakes are good. It has 220,000 miles on it and the head gasket and timing belt were serviced at least once. It's Sequoia Green, so we named it "Sprout" after the Jolly Green Giant's little buddy. We're planning on making a few "personalized" and mild performance modifications.
