i had the opportunity to get an 87 with a SAS but the guy was a little strange and seemed to be hiding things. asked him about the timing chain and he kept re-directing the question...owell, this does the trick quite nicely. plus...it has AC!!!

i got rid of the VW quick. things kept on breaking. the clutch kit alone was 375 bucks as compared to the 88 dollars for a yota.

Ironically my friend has a 1987 4Runner also! His brother left him the truck when he went for military duty. They installed a new motor also!!!!! We're on the track to get this truck running very soon.

The fastest I have ever had a 22R is about 112mph, but it was a 2wd with a 4 speed.
