Here Ya Go Guys I Have Started My Research On Doing My Project. Here Is Some Video And Pictures. I Did Find Out On The 2nd Gen The Lights That Are On The Trunk... The Part That Is Amber You Can Take Out! you might have to peel it off but its almost painted on.. so you can make that whole peice your backup lights :D But Here Ya Go!

Nice. LDP Autoparts is local to me and Atobe. They are the go-to place when you don't want to do pick-a-part style junkyard diving.

Good luck with the project. Post of schematics 'n stuff so we can check 'em out. I'll be able to verify if it should work.

I just ordered my LED's from hong kong! 100 red 100 white. 200 free resistors. yay. like i need but maybe 20 lol Hopefully I Only Use A Lil Bit Of Em For The Trunk Lights pics :

i just recieved my new taillights today and im trying to seperate the lens from the backing and i know its possible. im wondering if anyone knew how. i heard i gotta warm them up first because of sealant... is that true?

Probably, though I didn't look close. If you do try, make sure you remove the screws holding it together first.

If I was going to do this project, I would just do everything through the large hole in the back of the lights... You can build the LEDs in two sections and just slip them in there, hot-melt them down and you are good to go.

oh i got it.... preheat the oven at 225 and let it in the oven on some foil for 5 min and it warms it enough to pull it apart. as shown here.

I definitely want some LED tail lights but put into some jdm assemblies...
Well when everything is done and said.. im planning on doing a tutorial. to help all my fellow 2nd gen drivers !!!

yea it should be a nice project. I think the most difficult part would be to find a place to install them. Wiring should be a peace of cake. I was thinking about throwing some night shade spray paint on mine and make look all Euro:D
