The Sealed Beam For The Wagon-Faces...

I measured it 7.8"x5.5" (koito sealed beams), I think they actually go by 142mm x 200mm. I could only find 7"x6"s and 6"x4"s. WTF!

Can't find any :(

I'm pretty sure those are just regular old H6054 sealed beams. I just took a set out my car so they were handy to measure. I got the same measurements as you.
Further looking on the internets yeilded this link http://www.donsbulbs.com/cgi-bin/r/b.pl/1.15342078070206/h6054~usa.html

Yep, those are most likely H6054 sealed beams!

As a little aside, you can replace the sealed beam with a housing that fits perfectly. The housing takes replaceable/upgradeable H4 bulbs that will give you better illumination.
Yea, that's what I want. A housing that replaces the sealed beams that way I can use non-sealed beam lightbulbs such as the H4. Hopefully eBay has these...

Hella makes them in two flavours: E code and DOT. There are some other ones available (Cibie, eBay sellers likerimiinc). There are also plastic housings all over eBay but I don't hear good things about them. The glass Hella ones are available at rallylights.com (great customer service) and the Cibie ones at danielsternlighting.com (if you can get the guy to reply to your email).

I went with the Hella E code housings after all my searching.
I'm going to assume rallylights.com sell hi-quality lights and stuff? Cuz the headlamp kit is expensive, at least $95 bucks.

I'm gonna go with E codes, too. Really don't care about DOT/SAE, like a cop is going to peer into the headlamps anyways. I like the city light option.
I got some eBay H4 housings and they're pretty damned poor. It might just be the bulbs that came with them but they suck. Stock lighting with one headlight was better.
am I the only one who absolutely loves sealed beams? I love that every time I change the bulb I get a new lens. The lighting if you buy the higher quality ones isn't all that bad.
Sealed beams aren't bad or anything... It's just that I don't want to get accustomed to changing a light bulb that's the size of a grapefruit. I may go HID, too, so the conversion kit would do.

I'm a clear film installer, so I can just put clear film over the lens to protect it from rock chips and shit.
Yeah, I went with HIDs. Totally worth it if you're going to keep the car for a few years.
