We've all heard the rumor - "K&N air filters and intake systems will cause a check engine light."

K&N does not manufacture products that cause check engine lights. When designing and testing air filters and intake systems, we test on at least 5 different vehicles and do 3 dyno runs per vehicle. We test for driveability issues, place intake systems on a shaker table to simulate hundreds of thousands of miles of use, and will not release a product to the public if it may cause harm to our valued customers' vehicles. If for some reason a check engine light does occur after installing a K&N product, please contact our tech support department at 1-800-858-3333 and we will be happy to help you investigate the issue, even though it is not the fault of a K&N product. We are here to help you.
