Thieves!

Just thought I'd come on here and vent a little.

My wife and I just bought a new home in a nice area. We have been living there for a week as of today. I woke up this morning to find my driver's side door was closed, but not closed all the way. Which kinda bewildered me for a second.

I open the car door and look around...nothing was missing. I pop the trunk...nothing was missing.

I go to drive away and pop up my favorite play list through my headunit off of my iPod....and no sound...

Bastards took my damn iPod that was INSIDE of my center push lid console.

I am glad that my iPod is the only thing that was gone, which leads me to believe it was just some teenage punks. I work my ass off for Uncle Sam just to have some punk violate my sexy magnetic gray baby.

My windows had no scratches on them, so I know they didn't jimmy my lock. The wife says that she is 99% sure she locked the doors when she got out of it last......so there's that 1%. That 1% is all it took for them.

We have a nice garage to park my car in now, but it still has crap in it from the move that is slowly being placed back into the house. That's why it wasn't parked inside.

They got off lucky this time. Next time, not so much.

Watch you stuff fellas. Thieves are everywhere no matter what part of town you are in.

Thanks for letting me vent.

sorry to hear that but be thankful it wasn't worse. best thing to do is bring all the valuables inside the house each time. it can be a hassle but it's worth it.
G
I've added pressing the lock button on each of my cars remote transmitters at night when I lock up the house for bedtime. Every once in a while myself or my wife will have left our car unlocked. It might not be for everybody but it works for me. Sorry to hear about your theft.
that suxs, time to get an alarm that arms itself
Not long ago I was in the same situation.

But I know it sucks getting your car broken into... but I will point out you are lucky in a way...

Had my window smashed, glovebox broken, marks on my dash from breaking the glove box, glass all over the leather seats leaving some marks...
...
...
all for 4$ in quarters and a half broken ipod...

yeah... I was pretty pissed. Couldn't leave my car without a window, had to get it fixed therefore having to skip a BUSY day of classes and then paying for a new window + tint. Oh yeah did I mention it was like -30 out that day? yup yup, had to drive 40clicks too to get to my normal window+tint shop.
oh ya, dont keep anything in your car! The more stuff you have, the more they have to mess up and dig through. I'm never locking my glovebox again either.
Ooo dude, I feel ya bro. Always double check everything before going to bed, make it as a habit.
I'm offended by your "punk" terminology....

That said...Sorry for your loss and that sucks that someone would do that.

haha...sorry, i forgot about your user name.

Yeah, it sucks....its a good thing it was just the $100 iPod and not all my other equipment.
sorry man.
at least your car is intact.

my girls car got stolen 3 weeks ago.
got it back, but radio was gone, and ignition was fawked up..

stupid hooligans!
yea guys... the most popular things taken now are ipods and navi's... i read hey sell better than headunits now
You are very lucky, you got off easy. But now you have to worry all the time.

You know what's gonna suck? The fact that i have over 3k in mods on my car and i have no garage. so the next thing will be a very very sensitive alarm, one that the wind will set off if it blows in the wrong direction.
I just woke up from a nap and had a dream that someone stole the body side molding? i hope thats the correct term, on my SE. They stole the front/rear bumper, side molding, the hood and also the car battery. i had to put the car in N and give it a push. Lucky me the road was down hill and i was able to park the car in a parking lot and call the cops.
Next time you see that "punk" and you say to him: "being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?"
lol. just glad it was only an ipod.
Sorry to hear this. I had the same thing happened to my wife's car last year. They smashed the window just to take a few jackets!!! And this happened at school when I was coach a soccer game on Saturday.
I'm always feeling lucky :) .....just sayin.
Sorry to hear this, at least they didn't brake your windows or something worst.
That happened to me as well, car in the driveway, no alarm-ipod gone, broken rear window. Now u have to start all over with playlists & what not, sux.
