sorry for the repeat, but i didn't want to hijack another thread.

If I can make one amp work, that proves the wiring is good, right?
If another amp, with the same wiring doesn't work, that means it's dead, right?

so if that's the case, i guess i have a dead amp. :(

'tis okay. was only a 30 dollar cheapo amp anyway.

i just wanted to make sure i was thinking right so i didn't waste more time trying to make it work. besides, now that it's broken, i get to buy a new (better) one, right? ;)

mine "died" a few weeks ago. it started cutting out a lot, then one day it just didnt work. wiring was good, amp powered up, no fault lights, it just wouldnt put out any sound.

while waiting for the warrenty reply:

Driving home one day, i hear a loud BOOM from my trunk, almost crapped my pants, then all the sudden the the amp started working again, havent had a single problem since. sounds the same, looks the same. so im pretending it never happened.

well, that would have been the second time that amp has died, last year one of the MOSEFET transistors blew, had to do the warrenty claim on it.

What type of amp is it? if its an expensive amp, there are plenty of places that can fix them, mine was quoted at $70 to get it fixed.
