Ok well i got this car about 4 months ago. At this point i'm debating weither to hook up this car or trade it in for either a gen4 or a gen3 coupe or wait a year and get a solara. Or i can keep this car and do some repairs on this and keep it.

Well first off condition of the car. As some already know i'm having problems with honda people. Overall condition of car is decent. I have a tan line on my right side rear door from the old pinstrip. I have 2 broken opera windows (thats getting repaired) no hubcaps. minor dings on the left side door. missing bumper light. As for the engine, its solid only issue is when the cooling fans kick in their is a sound coming from the car. Its really nasty and the car shakes but only when the cooling fan kicks in. Not a problem with the AC on. I figure it might be the fan since i replaced the other fan.

Well thats the story on my car, now if i do think about keep the car i would attempt to fix all those issues up slowly. And as for mods. I only want minor stuff to the car. silverstar headlights all around, reverse gauges with the silver ring, change led's in dash. clear bumpers. shaved emblems. and black rims.

Now back to my topic should i keep my car or leave it stock for about a year and change things up with a solara, gen4 cam or gen3 coupe.

well, have you driven a gen4 or solara? a good reason for moving up would be if you wanted the V6, especially on the solara, cause thats when it comes with everthing standard.

i say if youve got the funds, then go for the solara, or if 4 doors suits you better, then gen 4

well mainly i wanted to upgrade to a v6. i love the solara's more of the gen1's also i like the gen4's as well.

My car will last me thru the year i know that. But i was considering everything. i mean i want to do all those minor mods that was listed but i dont want to loose money if i end up selling my gen3.5

I'm just unsure, i'm semi-happy with my gen3 but a gen4 or solara seems like a better car for me.

so most of you people are saying leave the car stock for the year and sell it for a solara v6 ? thats the way i was thinking too. but comparing a gen3.5's insurance rates to a gen4 v6 or a solara v6 how much would that normally go up ?

800$ right now for me full coverage, i'm 18 years old, no record what so ever.

i'll be assuming aleast 1300$ for the solara and 1000$ for the gen4

yo bro im kinda in the same state of mind. my parents are offering to buy me another car ang give up my gen 4 camry to my mom and she trade in her durango and they give me another car. im looking into maybe a gen3 camry cuz its cheaper insurance ~ im 16 years old with a 97 camry = 220 a month for full coverage.~
im looking into a 1994 Camry XLE fully loaded it would prolly be the same insurance i pay now. but i still dont know

see that could be another reason for me to stick to my gen3. $2200/ year isn't what i really want to be paying since if i get a solara i'll be having payments on it since its about a $9,000 car.

I'm having second thoughts about that. How much would it be if i replaced everything roughly? The cooling system sound and vibration is what gets me the most. I figure its just a fan about to die out. Thing is i just replaced my radatior fan. So it would be either my AC fan or the guys setup my radiator fan goofy.
