I took apart my intake and also everything involved in timing belt and waterpump yesterday... I dont see any remains of threadlocker on the bolts... does toyota use anything?

Do you guys usually use blue on everything? I normally do on 2 stroke engines...

i just took apart my whole engine and only found thread locker on the flywheel bolts.

I have the toyota factory manual and it doesnt say to use it anywhere, not even on the flywheel bolts.

The only problem i could see if you used to high of a strength thread lock for the aluminum and stripped out the threads( if the bolts had to come back out sometime later).

I think as long as you use the proper torques you wont have a problem.
