I'm changing the timing belt on my 7AFE, can anyone help with these two problems?
  1. How do you get the belt over the front engine mount?
  2. I got the crankshaft bolt out ok, but my universal puller won't move the pulley.
Thanks

I took my mount off to replace it anyhow but it wasn't hard.

Depends on what kind of universal pulley puller....

you have to take off the front motor mount. Put a piece of wood under the oil pan and put a jack under it then take off the mount.
Thanks for that, I have got the belt and idler off now. I got the pulley off using a generic puller for GM Harmonic balancers. It's not on a taper, it was just a little tight because of some rust on the shaft. I'd like to change the front crankshaft oil seal while I have easy access. Do you have any tips for getting the crankshaft timing pulley off? It doesn't have any holes to bolt a puller onto.

I used a powerfist universal puller (7bucks) and I ground down the two pulling arms to just squeeze behind the gear between the lip of the oil pump for the timing cover. Then just pulled it off. Had this issue last week.
