Hello,
I have a 2002 Land Cruiser. I need to do the Timing Belt/Water Pump. Anything else I should do while I'm in there?

What about changing out the starter or doing the brushes on the starter?

Posted here because same engine and thought this forum might get better traffic.

I just did the timing belt, water pump, and idlers. the Sequoia had 105k miles.
The belt was really limp, the idlers were in great condition. the water pump also. I found the fan support housing bearing was noisey. and the serpentine belt spring loaded bearing was noisey. Took 6 hours to do it all. Use original equipment or Koyo bearings, and OE or Mistubusi timing belt. the Water pump should also be OE or Aisin....You dont want to have to do it again....

Ask if there are any gaskets or o-rings down there. If so, swap those out too. I seem to remember that there was a $5 part or two that the dealership in FL always changes out which made sense to me at the time. That was about 3 years ago though so my memory is a little bit off.
