I have an 89 toyota pickup that has a little hessitation and low power and a ticking noise. ive advanced my timing to a little over 10* only problem is i didnt know you have to jump terminals TE1 and E1. So then i placed the jumper in then started the truck, made sure the flashing check engine light was on, then proceeded to do the timing again. This time the timing was way off. Then adjusted it to 12* then removed the jumper and it dropped to 10* it drives and feels a little better but i feel like the ticking noise has got worse. Not sure whats going on.
