tire chains - or snows?

1112 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  HoboJoe
OK, the first big storm hit the east coast today and now I have to drive through the stuff in my Gen3 on my Kumho Ecstas.... :-/ Actually worked pretty well, but I would like to put on some snow tires, except that I don't want to change over to those on my current (stock) rims. so I was thinking tire chains. Not those that are actually "chains" but more like "cable." Any experience?

Chains and cables both suck! Get some steel wheels and blizzaks.
When we got 2 feet of snow earlier this year, I put chains on the lincoln. Worked damn good. As for the camry, it does fine in the snow and ice.
