Tire size compatibility question

692 Views 6 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  ilovemytoyota88
Hi all,
I'm an happy owner of a 2009 venza v6. My car uses 245/50/20 tires on original 20" rims. It's time for a replacement and I am trying to figure out if I can use 265/50/20. Just found a better deal on a unused tire than 245/50/20 set.

It seems like it will fit okay on the rim however, I am not sure if I will have issues like front tires rubbing on fender during turns. Does anyone have experience with these dimensions on 1st gen venza?

TIA

FWIW, this is the best comparison site I've seen,, lots of tools, visual and summary text.
A quick glance looks like they should work but I don't have a Venza to look at.

Thanks for that. I did indeed use this site to have an idea of what it may look like after installing tires. I am concerned about the fit within car though, I guess, I should do precise measurements for a best answer.

If it was me, I would go up max at 255/50R20. If staying at 50R20 that is. Thats just me.
Diameter went up 0.8" so assuming it will get closer to the wall by at least 0.4" depending on the actual tire treads.
