Hello-

I have a 2000 Toyota Corolla CE that needs new tires. The vehicle currently has size P175/65R14. Would it be possible to get the new tires in size P185/65R14? What would be the advantages/ disadvantages of changing to the larger size tires? What it allow for a better ride? Would it hurt gas mileage? Anything else?

I am getting the Tires at Sam's Club and would appreciate suggestions on the tire brand also.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I switched from P175/65R14 to P185's on the steelie and find better control and traction.

I bought Toyo Proxes TPT tires and am still enjoying them although in wet weather they do not always grip well. Most wet weather is pretty good, but once in a while it'll slip a little.
185/65 will work just fine.
