I got a speeding ticket in Quebec yesterday. Anyone know a lawer or ticket fighter that CAN get the ticket CANCELLED. That means no records at all whatsoever.

Please help me asap!!!

I've never heard of a ticket fighter that can get a speeding ticket cancelled... They can fight the demerit points and fine but it will still show on your record that you fought it.
Most traffic paralegal services guarnatee to save your demerit points or you don't have to pay. Nobody that I've come across with guarantee full dismissal.

Having said that, I've been completely dismissed from speeding tickets in the past. I guess I was lucky.

Look in the phone book under "ticket" or "paralegal" and start dialing.
umm.....if you got it in quebec, then you better look up a ticket fighter that is located in quebec......

heard that if you don't speak french or the person who represents you doesn't, the courts aren't very nice at all then.....kinda like how they pull ppl over w/ non-quebec plates just to hassle them

I totally missed that. Yeah, you need to seek legal services from somebody in that Prov.
I've always gone to STOPP.
Those guys are incredible. They ALWAYS either get the fine and the points reduced to zero, or have the ticket dismissed completely (I'd say about 50/50).
Don't know if they can handle it in Quebec or not. You'll have to ask them. You can just walk into their office in Brampton, ask for Don.
got a number i can call for the brampton one?

The thing is that in Quebec, they need an actual lawyer, not just an agent...

thats why so expensive... i got 3 quotes 500 to 700 dollars...
In quebec we don't have ticket fighter, there lawyer but you have to know the good ones. The lawyer here will usual cost you teh price of the ticket, but if he good you get away with it. In quebec its all about luck and chance. some times you can go to court adn no one shows. other time you wouldn't win at all just a waste of time. then you pay the ticket, court cost and taxes and late fee. hopefully you speak french. it will help a bit
hey... can you refer me to some place? I don't know where to start looking.......
All lawyers can do it. They plea bargin and bring the charges down to a non-moving violation. Since non-moving violations do not go on your record, it appears that you are totally clean.
Just start calling lawyers out of the phone book and ask if they can 'take care of' a ticket for you. Ask what they charge and go with the cheapest.
The most I've ever paid is $100usd+cort cost and fine and the least I've ever paid aside from a free favor is $40usd+cort cost and fine.
I've had hundreds fixed without a problem.
I think Quebec needs to be blasted off the planet ;)

So, is it OK to have French-only in Quebec, but any English HAS to be in French, too?

What non moving charge is this? My aunt said some non moving charge also counts towards my record. BTW, she works at the insurance company...
I live in quebec forget hiring somebody just show up and explain you where at a certain speed and pay less because you have a 90% chance of paying anyways. In quebec the police are always right dont forget that..arses

I dunno about canada but in the us it usually goes down to parking, littering, noise, etc... non-moving violations cannot go on your "driving record" and the lawyer usually bargins for no points on your license. ...thats the whole idea in fixing a ticket, to avoid points.
like I said tho, thats in the us not canada.
good luck.
yeah, my aunt said, points or no points, its still a ticket.

unless I get it down to dirty licence plate, overload, improper class of licence, and any By-law's moving violation.

It still counts as a ticket.

Thanks for your help anyways
