Hey peeps,
I am looking for a 3/4 ton tow vehicle for all my trailers. I originally started looking at the Chevy 2500, then opened search to include the ford F250. All Along i have been fond of the toyota, but research had indicated that the toyota Tundra did not have the towing capacity of the Chevy or ford. Can any of you Tundra owners shed some light on towing capacity for the Tundra? I really need to have 11k lb tow capacity.
Thanks,
Deakon

Toyota says 9k-10,400 lbs. I've driven a 2007 and a 2009 pulling a 7800-8200 lbs. toyhauler, western US.
But 11k, if it was once in a blue moon with the right Tundra, then sure but with any regularity I wouldn't.
Ya gotta be able to stop it and not have the tail wag the dog!

I would not suggest it. The Tundra, second gen., is a 1/2 ton. But you know that. I had an 08 Tundra and towed a 28' travel trailer through out the western US, no issues, but that was only 7,500 lbs.
