Well I called the local dealer, not the one I bought the truck from originally and they said come in for the free oil change and they will basically hit my trucks frame with a ballpeen hammer and if it goes through they will order me a new frame and replace it. No mention of them applying any corrosion treatment as mentioned in a letter from Toyota Canada in the sticky thread on the earlier Tacoma's and their frame issues.

Man this just sucks...

Must suck living on the east coast with all that road salt and such. Guess Toyota doesn't want to shell out the dough in a buy back for our trucks. (Mine still looks okay though; going to do some rust proofing this summer.)

Hey Toyota, offer us stainless steal frames for a replacement and you'll have us for life. (Instead of thinking of another brand next time we buy a rig. I hear the Ford's quality is on par with yours...oh wait, that could be a bad thing.)

I quote, "they will order me a new frame and replace it." Whoa cowboy, slow down! Bro, I'll be more than happy to R&R your frame, just send me:
1. All your money,
2. All your credit cards,
3. A copy of your signature,
4. Might as well throw in your SS#,
5. Any and all money you plan on earning for the next 5 years.

I would tell that dealer to pound sand, I know times are lean but that is incredulous. Just keep frame clean and check it yourself - it's not neurosurgery.
