Toyota Chairman Fujuo Cho is #1 on Motortrend's 2007 Power List.

This list consists of the 50 top movers, shakers, heart-breakers in the mercural world of autodom.

It says "Shaping the world's largest automater of 2010"

Why is he number 1 a year after disappearing from the list:
Cho was unproven as chairman after this automaker, known for its anonymous leaders and teamwork, promoted him up from president in 2005. Last year the question became "When will Toyota overtake GM?" in worldiwde automotive sales.

Retired Oldsmobile general manger John Rock says Toyota today is where GM was in 1955.

It isn't on Motor Trend's web site yet.

This is a much deserved Rank. Fujio Cho is one of the Toyota greats of all time. His detemination to take Toyota to the the top and keep it there is unmatched by anyone in the industry.
Toyota doesnt like to show off their executives or make them seem like superstars such as Carlos Ghosn; but without a doubt someone with the skills like Fujio Cho is unique in the Automotive industry.

He was once President of Toyota's plant in Georgetown, KY. After that he became president of Toyota Motor Corp. and led Toyota to become a leader in Hybrids and become the powerhouse of the 21st Century.
