I am not sure why they shortened the 08 models, may be they want to release the 2010 model in early 2009, like the 07 models that came out in early 2006.
I also didn't find anything different for the 09 camry... atleast they could have made the VSC/TRAC a standard feature....may be they will for the 2010 model.

Now there's details on the 2009 Matrix and the Corolla.

Anybody happen to know why the 2008 Camry was so short lived? The 2009 Camry (no changes I can see) is now on the website.
its all for being #1 in sales compared with the honda accord, also they changed one thing the size of the front cup holders. thats it

VSC/Trac is standard on all Canadian models with exception of Base package LE 4 cylinder.

interesting. Good for the SE 4 cylinder. The LE V6 and SE V6 had it as options.

Anything else you can share nmehes?

Wolfman: ohhh.. lol ok. Let me know cause I'm keeping track of the Camry hybrid stuff over at PriusChat. No detail is too small for my "changes for 2009" bit.

Still not standard on LE, I put about 42 09 Camrys in Reynolds the other day many have no VSC/TRAC.

Unless VSC/TRAC is completely defeatable, I refuse to order it on any Toyota vehicle. My Tacoma doesn't have it, and I'm glad. Off-roading with systems like that can actually make a situation worse. I believe in giving the consumer a choice, either to completely disable the system while driving, or not have it equipped at all.

On some cars you can. The 09 Corolla you can. My Camry you can't.
lol.. and that's funny cause the Gen 4 Camry had a TRAC OFF button and so did the Gen 5

I know that TRAC control can be turned off on the SIENNA'S...cuz we used to have one before.

Yeah that's why I thought Toyotas did have a TRAC OFF button (except the Prius)

I believe that because of reviews and complains TC / VSC can be disabled now.

Back on topic, nice site, very nice. Whats the point of buying an 09 camry so soon with no changes at all? Someone with a detailed explanation.

From my understanding its the 08's that are short lived for the 09's to come out. Well if you want a good deal maybe go for the 08 if the dealers want them off the lot for the 09's. Its when the 2010 models come out that's the refreshed model, not the 09, at least from my understanding.

The more I look at the new Corolla the more I'm digging it. Its classy yet has the sporty agressive look to it, especially the S model and more so the XRS. Its a good blend of sporty and classy IMO. The only thing that gets me are the taillights. They just look too similar to the previous gen but I guess I have to see them in person to appreciate.

But the black XRS, tint windows, lowered car and rims! Oh baby! That's one hot Corolla. For me personally like the Camry, I think this is the best looking Rolla so far.
